In fairness, we've only played once away and they've only played once at home, and both times it was against the Old Firm, so there's no need for panic. However, both will be looking to get their own personal "firsts" on the boards before it drags on for too much longer.
Saints finally managed a home win - and some goals - in 2007 last week and will be looking to build on that for tomorrow. It'll be the exact same squad with no new signings and no changes to the injury situation. Keeper Chris Smith picked up a knock in training earlier in the week that prevented him from playing for the Scotland under 21 side, but he should be fit enough to play tomorrow. Craig Dargo, Ian Maxwell, Craig Molloy and Eddie Malone are, as usual, all missing through injury.
It would be a surprise to see anything other than the team that started against Inverness Caley Thistle begin tomorrow's match. Stewart Kean may be worried about his place after some terrible misses last week, but will probably start after linking up well with Mark Corcoran. Franco Miranda impressed on his debut and will be looking to do the same tomorrow, although a few more passes from Ryan McCay wouldn't go amiss!
Like us, Falkirk lost a player to Rangers in the summer - although quite how much they'll miss Allan Gow remains to be seen. Certainly, in Michael Higdon they have a player who'll score goals and seems to be quite physical. Graham Barrett also scored last week - more than 12 months after signing. In fairness to him, he has been out injured since then! He could start tomorrow, while Carl Finnegan - once on trial at Saints - will probably haunt us.
Falkirk have suffered heavy defeats in their last two matches as they've been playing the Old Firm and have tired. However, I doubt the same will happen tomorrow and I reckon they'll win 2-0.
