According to various websites, the following could well be out: Hugh Murray, Scott Cuthbert, Will Haining, Steven Thomson, Chris Smith, Franco Miranda, Steven Robb, Stephen O'Donnell, Craig Dargo, Tom Brighton. Obviously, some of those mentioned have been out for a while, but the likes of Murray and Cuthbert are new victims and we can't really do without them.
So, let's assume that the list above is correct. What does that mean for the team? Well, John Potter will return at the centre of defence and it looks as if young Marc McAusland will be handed his first start. This isn't as bad as it seems - McAusland has been a regular in the reserves for the past couple of years and has looked good for the first team when he's played as a substitute. In midfield, Gary Mason and Garry Brady could be handed recalls, while up front Billy Mehmet is likely to partner Dennis Wyness up front, although many fans have been calling for untried youngster Sean Burns to start.
On paper, things don't look too bad. However, Mason has been a shadow of his former self in recent months, we desperately missed Shuggy when he was out and the strikeforce is terrible. All hopes will, once again, be pinned on Andy Dorman to produce more of those trademark runs into the box as he looks to score for the fifth league game in a row. The only good thing is that tomorrow will be an unusual line-up we wouldn't normally go with but have been forced to play - that happened in December and we won every game that month.
This is a vital game for both clubs. A win for us could well give us a points tally that would be enough for safety, while a win for Inverness Caley Thistle should see them creep closer to the finish line - and to ourselves. Both sides will be desperate for victory and hopefully the Saints side will be set up with that target in mind. Two wins in the next two games, which I admit is unlikely, will almost certainly secure another season of top flight football.
When we last played Caley Thistle in Paisley just before Christmas, they were arguably the worst visiting team I've seen since we returned to the top flight. They were awful and it was no surprise manager Craig Brewster was sacked a few weeks later. His replacement, Terry Butcher, has turned things around and managed to lift them off the bottom of the league, partly thanks to a terrific win over Rangers at Ibrox.
The Highlanders have a number of dangerous players capable of causing all sorts of problems. Filipe Morais is a winger who is capable of scoring, as we know to our cost, while Ritchie Foran is a handful for most defences. Ian Black is also handy in midfield and will be joining Hearts in the summer, while the much hated Ross Tokely often has a decent game against us.
We have to win - but sadly, with the injury problems, I can't see it happening.
