Admittedly it's a bit unlikely. We're in a terrible run of form at the moment, whilst St. Johnstone are doing well. A goal for us would be an improvement, let alone a point. Still, we have won at McDairmid Park twice already this season so anything is possible.
Saints were given a slight boost this week with the news that Billy "The Roadrunner" Mehmet is fit again after he came through a reserve match unscathed. Admittedly the forward has a scoring record similar to Brian McGinty's, although unlike McGinty he hasn't had much of a chance in his Saints career. His return will increase competition for places, which can only be a good thing.
Sadly, Mehmet's return marks someone else getting injured. Recent signing Iain Anderson picked up a nasty head wound in the same reserve game and is almost certainly missing. Craig Hinchcliffe and Kirk Broadfoot are out, as usual, whilst McGinty is also missing. Everyone else should be fit and free from suspension, hopefully they can get some goals to mark Gus MacPherson's 100th game in charge.
St. Johnstone are the latest team to be our nearest challengers, but have more chance than most of staying there. They are hitting form at just the right time, are getting players back from injury and have some new signings. They have all the pieces in place to make a charge for the title and promotion, and have taken four points off our lead in the last two games.
We're doing badly, whilst the Fake Saints are doing well. Can't see anything but a 1-0 win for St. Johnstone sadly.
