Will Haining, Franco Miranda and Stephen O'Donnell all started the game, although Haining is likely to be the only one featuring in the squad for Saturday's game against Motherwell. Miranda and O'Donnell have been out for a number of months and will need several games before they are back in the squad. They may just be ready by the Falkirk or Hamilton games, but it's typical our reserve season has ended when we could do with some players getting fit.
Wyness scored for Saints with 20 minutes left, but with just five minutes to go Aberdeen grabbed a draw. The result leaves Saints fourth in the league, although they can still be caught by the Dons.
The league season may be over for the second string, but they still have a game next week (or it might be the youth players) when they face Gourock Thistle in the semi-finals of the Renfrewshire Cup. The game will be on Thursday May 14 at Greenhill Road and kick-off is 7pm.
