Thomas Reilly and Jon Scullion had the pick of the chances in the opening 45 minutes but were kept at bay by an inspired young Rangers goalie.
Of course, you know what happens next and, sure enough, as we looked for the opener in the second half Rangers broke and scored. Then they did the same again. Still, there was some cheer when Reilly reduced the deficit, but it proved to be little more than a consolation strike.
Dominating a match without making it count - sounds familiar...
