Judging by the reports online we were on the back foot for much of the game but defended well, while we rarely troubled visiting goalie Liam Kelly - brother of our own Sean. It also seems the officials were rubbish, with youth set-up boss David Longwell even being sent to the stand!
That came because we had been denied a penalty for a supposedly blatant handball. Before that, Barry Cuddihy was sent off for fouling Rangers' Darren Ramsay as he ran towards goal. Suggestions are it was a harsh decision.
The young Buddies held on with their reduced numbers but the deciding moment came in the first period of extra-time, Ramsay shooting past Chris Dilo. That proved to be the difference, Rangers going through to meet Hearts in the final.
