Earlier this season, he was in charge of our 0-0 draw against Hibs at Love Street which was the start of a horrendous run of no goals and no points.
Things aren't much better if you go back to previous years either. Last season he officiated a 0-0 draw away to Gretna and a 2-0 defeat at Hibs. He was also in charge of a goalless draw at Love Street with Dunfermline in 2006. Soccerbase claims this was his first appointment in league football, which is hard to believe!
Last season, Mr Finnie took charge of three Brechin games - and they won the lot. The first was against Montrose in the League Challenge Cup when they won 2-1 in extra time and the others were against Queen's Park in the league, with the Glebe Park side registering 2-1 and 3-2 victories.
This will be Mr Finnie's second Scottish Cup tie, the first a thrilling 5-4 match between Deveronvale and Elgin City in 2006/07,which the Highland League side won.
His card count seems to vary a fair bit and he has issued a total of five red cards this season - two in his last two games. Will he make it three in a row on Saturday?
