He's been involved with four of our games so far this season, which have seen us draw with Hearts and Rangers at home and lose twice at Ibrox. Not the greatest record ever, but there are some decent results. The draw with Rangers was in the Scottish Cup, as was one of the Ibrox defeats, and he put in some reasonable displays.

Like ourselves, Hamilton have failed to win with My Brines so far this season. With him in charge they've drawn with Dundee United and lost to the Arabs and Celtic. Last season they had just one game, in which they beat Kilmarnock to give themselves a 100 per cent record with this official! Their first division title season in 2007/08 saw them encounter him twice - a thrashing at Partick Thistle and a draw at Dundee, who got a last minute goal.
The year before there is a single game again, where they beat Airdrie United 2-1. 2005/06 saw another perfect season for Accies and Mr Brines as they won at Stranraer, Dundee and Love Street - the latter a game that could have seen us win the league if we'd bothered to turn up. The previous two seasons see a single game in each, with Hamilton drawing with Falkirk and Berwick Rangers.
2002/03 sees three Hamilton games - they beat 10 man Airdrie, drew with Brechin and also lost to Dick Campbell's men. Mr Brines' first season in the SFL was 2001/02 and he encountered Hamilton way back then as they beat Queen of the South 3-1.
Mr Brines has done just 19 games this season and is averaging a red card every six games or so. He's shown a few lately, let's hope with our inability to use a numerical advantage he doesn't send off an Accies player on Wednesday night!
