That victory came at the end of last season at Love Street when Will Haining headed home a last minute winner from a free-kick Killie boss Jim Jeffries didn't think should have been given. Unfortunately, Mr Allan's other three games involving ourselves in the past two seasons have all seen a Saints player sent off. A few months ago he wrongly sent off Jack Ross at Parkhead when we were gubbed 7-0 and last season he sent David Barron off at Pittodrie for two bookings as we drew with Aberdeen. Earlier that season he did another game up north, this time a defeat to Caley Thistle, where Haining received two harsh yellow cards.
Despite having done four of our games in the past two seasons, Mr Allan's only other game involving the Buddies was in 2003 - a relatively uneventful draw with St. Johnstone in Paisley.
Strangely, this official has only refereed two games involving Killie - one being the aforementioned defeat to Saints. The other was this season when they beat Hamilton at Rugby Park, with the Accies having a man sent off.
This is something Mr Allan seems to enjoy doing - seven red cards in 26 games is a phenomenal rate of better than one every four games! Will he send anyone off on Wednesday, and it will it help us?
