His only game involving Saints came just under a year ago when we drew with Falkirk at Love Street. Shortly after Falkirk scored, he gave us a penalty - correctly - which Billy Mehmet converted. Three yellow cards in that game suggest he's a relatively lenient official.
Four bookings in Kilmarnock's home win over Dundee United last season also suggest that - with Killie also getting a penalty. However, his other Kilmarnock game from 2009/10 is a bit more interesting. While Killie won 4-2 at Easter Road, they had Alan Combe sent off and Hibs had two penalties! For the record, his other game involving Kilmarnock came at the end of 2007/08 when they drew with Gretna (remember them?). No cautions or red cards that day in what was his first SPL game.
This will be the eighth time Mr Norris has taken charge of a game in Scotland's top flight, so he's far from experienced. He's taken charge of four games this season - none in the SPL - and he flashed two red cards in a season opener between Queen of the South and Raith Rovers, although since then he's been quiet lenient.
