Seems a bit weird that the last time Mr Muir refereed either Saints or Kilmarnock was when the two sides last played, but there you go. For the record, we won 1-0 thanks to Chris Innes' late header and I can't think of too many controversial decisions.
Before that, Mr Muir had only done two other Saints games. One was on the opening day of the league season when we lost 2-1 to Hibs and had Steven Thomson - a decision I felt was the right one even if most other people disagree. The other game was Love Street's final match in 2009, when he denied Motherwell at least one stonewall penalty.
He's done slightly more Kilmarnock games, aside from the one a few months ago. This season he's overseen their win over St. Johnstone and their defeat to Rangers. Last season he was in charge of a draw with Falkirk and a win over Motherwell, who had a man sent off, while Soccerebase claims Mr Muir's first ever league game was between Kilmarnock and Inverness Caley Thistle. This seems unlikely. For the record, Caley Thistle romped to a 3-0 win.
Mr Muir is currently averaging one red card every four games or so, although it's late November since he last sent anyone off. Let's hope if he chooses to dismiss someone on Saturday, it's someone in stripes.
