The midweek cup exit to Aberdeen was a big disappointment, but fortunately for us Caley Thistle seemed to have spent most of the intervening period celebrating their remarkable result.
Mark Yardley hadn't scored since we'd been to Inverness before Christmas, but he looked in the mood to end that drought. After heading an effort just past the post, he calmly slotted away a good goal midway through the first half.
Gary Bowman was also looking in the mood for his first goal for the club and he passed up a decent first half chance before scoring midway through the second half thanks to an excellent Ian Ross corner cleverly disguised as a mis-hit. Honest!
It was a result that put us clear again at the top and important boost ahead of two trips to Fife, starting with the next game against second placed Dunfermline.
