After all the talk about players playing for their futures, only two of the starting lineup - Franco Miranda and David van Zanten - don't have deals for next season. However, there were sweeping changes - out went Andy Millen (thank god!), Mark Corcoran, Ian Maxwell and Craig Dargo, while in came Jim Hamilton, Hugh Murray, Miranda and the fit again John Potter.
Hamilton played his part in the Saints goal (although it might have been Billy Mehmet), flicking it on for Dorman to slam past Derek Soutar. Dorman is now our second highest scorer with four goals this season, showing on two counts how bad we've been - our second highest scorer only has four goals and one of the men whose done it has only been here since January!
Aberdeen drew level after half an hour, another set piece proving our downfall when Lee Mair nodded home Barry Nicholson's corner.
Things got worse when Mehmet went off injured just before half time - interestingly he was replaced by Stewart Kean rather than Dargo. Even worse, with 15 minutes left David Barron was sent off for a stupid second booking for throwing the ball at an Aberdeen player. A fine possibly awaits.
Overall then, a good result considering Tuesday night and recent form. Kilmarnock are now two points ahead of us and we're in grave danger of ending up in a one team fight for eleventh place.
Still, look on the bright side - we can relegate Gretna next week!
