Celtic 2-0 Saints

Andy Millen replaced Kevin McGowne in the starting lineup as the club captain had been struggling with injury. Billy Mehmet took Millen's place on the bench, whilst Richard Brittain replaced Alex Burke on the subs bench.

Celtic took the lead just before the half hour mark, when a Shunsuke Nakamura corner was headed home by Stephen McManus.

Saints enjoyed some pressure at the start of the second half, but the game was over midway through the half when Stilian Petrov made it 2-0. A Simon Lappin free kick hit the bar soon after and John Sutton failed to bundle home the rebound.

It could have been worse, as Celtic dominated most of the game, but it's a respectable scoreline, especially when you consider Kilmarnock lost there 4-1 a few weeks ago.

The only other goals in the SPL came when Aberdeen beat Motherwell 2-0, meaning most teams haven't gained too much on us. We're still six points clear of the bottom two.

It seems we didn't pick up any injuries or suspensions, which is good, whilst the Saints fans out sung the so called "greatest fans in the world" despite being vastly outnumbered.
