It's now eight games without a goal or a point against the Hoops and goodness knows how many against. However, of those eight defeats this is probably one of the less painful. No one really expected us to take anything from Parkhead today - and it wasn't as bad as the 5-0 defeat we suffered in October.
There were two changes to the side that drew with nine man St Johnstone last week as the suspended Lee Mair dropped out and Lewis Guy was dumped on the bench. Jon Robertson and Dougie Imrie came into the side and there was a surprise among the subs, Paul McGowan making his first appearance in a matchday squad since the end of September.
Victor Wanyama caused us problems in October and it took him just 15 minutes to inflict more pain today when he headed in a Charlie Mulgrew corner.
But unlike the last meeting, the early goal was not the opening of the flood gates and Celtic were only able to put the game to bed seven minutes from time when Gary Hooper scored when he scored a tap in from a corner.
Obviously not the result we were looking for but not a great deal to get upset about either, although the stats show we were perhaps lucky to get away with only conceding two. Roll on Motherwell on Friday.
