Saints fielded an interesting team line-up which seemed to have Billy Mehmet playing in the hole behind a front pairing of Craig Dargo and Dennis Wyness. Steven Robb was at left back and Mark Howard was in goals, while former Arsenal and QPR defender Dominic Shimmin was playing as a trialist at the back.
Dumbarton opened the scoring when Howard messed up a corner and someone was left an easy tap in and they doubled their advantage from the spot after Stephen McGinn handled a cross. Brady pulled one back when he fired home a Mehmet flick on and Molloy levelled things up late on with a fine header.
As I said in the preview, friendlies don't matter. However, this is a pretty poor start and fingers crossed we can step things up tomorrow night against Stirling Albion.
