We have borught this on ourselves by throwing away late points in the last month or so and we've still failed to win in the league in 2009. It is a woeful run in the SPL and will only lead to one thing - the question is, can we turn things around? Inverness Caley Thistle have and Falkirk did today, but we still can't win - and can rarely score - in the league.
I wasn't there today so can't really comment on what happened. It seems both sides had chances, with Accies perhaps having the better of things. However, for Craig Dargo it turned out to be third time lucky - for the third time this season he was flattened by a goalkeeper, but this time Tomas Cerny received his marching orders with just eight minutes left. Sadly, it was outside the box and the free-kick produced the inevitable result. Dargo went off injured but will hopefully be fit for the next game against former employers Caley Thistle.
We could really have done with the win today, regardless of how things went elsewhere. We're now on 30 points and probably need another three wins from our remaining games to be safe. The cup form shows the team can do it - but can we do it in the league?
