Hearts 1-0 Saints

Today's loss is the sixth in a row in the league, a run only punctuated by a penalty shoot-out win over Aberdeen in the League Cup. Even a few draws thrown in would make things better, but with all these defeats I wouldn't be surprised if this is our worst ever run in the SPL.

Admittedly we were always up against it today as Hearts fans packed Tynecastle in a bid to injuect some much needed cash into their club. We ditched Sam Parkin, Jon Robertson and Dougie Imrie, with suspension free Jim Goodwin, Thomas Reilly and Graham Carey coming in. Lewis Guy was nowhere to be seen.

While Hearts were on top for most of the game, we managed to frustrate them until midway through the second half when Goodwin fouled Andy Webster and Danny Grainger hit home the free-kick with a deflection off of Kenny McLean.

McLean and Marc McAusland went close to an equaliser but we couldn't find one and are now in deep, deep trouble. Dundee managed a fantastic win over Hibs to close the gap to a point ahead of our crunch meeting in Paisley next week. Would an sixth successive defeat spell the end for Danny Lennon?
