A quick look at reports online suggests we were played off the park in the first half. As expected we went with one up front - but, unlike when we went to Parkhead, there was no Tom Brighton on the left to push forward and provide support to Billy Mehmet.
To make things worse, Tonet was sent off inside half an hour after picking up two bookings in about five minutes. Hearts went in front just before half time when Jamie Mole scored from about 25 yards, but it looked as if we might snatch a point when Mehmet equalised with 20 minutes left.
Unfortunately, things weren't level for long, Michael Stewart scoring from the spot soon after. He had another chance to do that in the final minute but his penalty was saved by Howard, before Mehmet went desperately close to scoring another equaliser.
Three games played. Three penalties and two red cards suffered, while the grand total of one point and one goal. Guys like Brighton and Dennis Wyness have hardly played - although they've had more time on the pitch than the invisible Steven Robb and Craig Dargo!
Things need to change - and quickly. We must rattle a few goals past Dumbarton on Tuesday and we must beat Aberdeen next Saturday. If we don't, then god help us all.
