Hibs 2-0 Saints

The run had to end some time and there's no embarrassment losing away to Hibs. Likewise, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we lost to Dundee United at Tannadice next week. We've put some handy points on the board in the past few weeks and we still have an eight point gap to bottom side Caley Thistle. The result dents our chances of making the top six, but as long as we aren't involved in a relegation battle towards the end of the season I'll be more than happy.

Surprisingly, Garry Brady was restored in place of new signing Steven Thomson, while Craig Dargo replaced the injured Jim Hamilton. I wasn't there today so can't provide too many details. It seems Hibs scored from a corner thanks to man mountain Rob Jones after a quarter of an hour, and with five minutes left Riordan wrapped things up with a shot that went in off the post. Dargo did go close to scoring just before Hibs scored their second, but his effort was superbly saved by the Polish keeper with the long name I can't be bothered looking up.

All in all a disappointing, but not unexpected, result. Thankfully, for once there's no need to dust off the "Gus Must Go" banners.
