Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-1 Saints

We've yet to win in the league this year and time us surely running out for Gus MacPherson. After a poor performance against Hamilton last time out - something the manager agrees with - we play the same team. How on earth does that work? We have the same problems we've had for years, with yesterday being the same old story of not taking our chances.

We got off to the perfect start when Andy Dorman put us in front after just seven minutes following a mistake in the home defence. Caley responded and drew level through Morais after a fine team move just before half time, and he scored again four minutes after the break thanks to some poor defending and goalkeeping.

After steadying the ship, Saints battered the Caley Thistle goal with Stephen McGinn and Dorman missing some good chances. However, the Highlanders clung on to move above us and leave us just three points above Falkirk, who play Rangers today.

We are in freefall at the moment. Arguably, if we hadn't had such a good run in the cup MacPherson would already be on his way. In my view, he should be on his way in the summer regardless of what happens - and it looks as if he's leading us back to the first division.
