I wasn't there but from reading comments on the web it seems as if we were slighjtly on top for much of the game.
Saints boss Gus MacPherson made several changes to Saturday's starting lineup, with Kevin McGowne, Billy Mehmet and Kirk Broadfoot all missing out, although the latter was on under 21 duty. They were replaced by Mark Corcoran, Brian McGinty and Ian Maxwell. New signing Charlie Adam made it onto the bench, but there was no place for fellow new boy John Sutton.
Saints first came midway through the first half, Mark Corcoran breaking clear and firing past QOS goalkeeper Richie Barnard for his first goal in Saints colours.
Just under fifteen minutes into the second half the home side were level, Paul Burns finishing after Chris Smith could only parry a free kick.
However, parity only lasted for a few minutes when a long range Hugh Murray effort took a few deflections onto its way into the next. Brian mcginty could have finished things off five minutes from time, but he headed wide from five yards out. Sounds familiar.
I said yesterday that I wasn't too bothered if we went through and I still believe that, though it gets a bit more serious now. A draw against Morton in the quarter finals would be brilliant.
