Raith Rovers 2-3 Saints

McGowne managed just 9 minutes before being replaced by Mark Dempsie. The captain is suspected to have at least one cracked rib, and will be out for at least a month. Raith missed a dubious penalty in the first half before scoring 2 goals in 10 minutes, including a Laurie Ellis own goal. Right on half time, Allan Russell got his first Saints goal and gave Saints a chance, with the scoreline 2-1 at the interval.

Raith scored again in the second half, before John O'Neill got yet another goal to make things 3-2. Sadly, Raith resorted to cheating and timewasting and Saints failed to capitalise.
