Considering our recent run it's not the worst result in a world, but it seems like we had a great chance to take all three points. Still, it seems to have been an encouraging performance so while we didn't win, there's no reason to feel too downbeat.
Saints stuck with the side that saw off Dundee on Saturday and, after the dodgy floodlights were fix, perhaps had the better of the first half. Kenny McLean and John McGinn had a few long range efforts before County's Sam Morrow hit the bar. Jim Goodwin and Steven Thompson also went close before McLean wasted what has been described as a fantastic chance. We didn't have things all our own way though, Iain Vigurs putting a free-kick narrowly wide as the half came to a close.
Sam Parkin replaced Thompson after the break and hit the post after Mark Brown had saved a shot from McGinn before the big striker had an effort cleared off the line. That seemed to spur County into action, Craig Samson having to make a decent save to keep them at bay before Saints hit the woodwork again, McGinn going desperately close after a knock down from Parkin with our last decent chance.
Apologies if this seems a bit one sided to Saints but this is a Saints website and details of the game were stolen from Twitter and various forums!
