The game was incredibly boring so not much of a report as I can't be bothered. As so often happens, Saints first chance led to the opening goal. Ricky Gillies was flattened when in a good goal scoring opportunity, but referee Hugh Dallas wasn't giving anything. The QoS goalie played the ball downfield, and some shocking defending allowed a midfielder to wander 40 yards before setting up Paul Shields to make it 1-0. Oh dear.
11 minutes later and Saints were level. A throw in fell to Martin Cameron, who smashed a fantastic left footed volley in, a goal that was similar to what Steven McGarry used to do. He now has 9 goals this season and is usually playing well. Will the moaners now get off his back? He even celebrated well.
Queens had the better of the rest of the game but couldn't make it count. Some shocking refereeing decisions from Dallas probably cost both sides. Jamie Dunbar came on for his debut and after some good play down the right won Saints a corner. Simon Lappin crossed it in and the ball bounced off the back of QoS' number 4 and in to give Saints three points.
A not great performance but once again Saints fought back, something we wouldn't do with Hendrie. There will be no reports of the next couple of games, there might not even be previews of them, so the next game I'll be at is the 125th anniversary match against Ross County.
