I wasn't there so can't really comment on the game but, by all accounts, it was dire. It's no surprise we didn't score considering we dropped Aaron Mooy and Paul McQuade, part of Tuesday night's thumping defeat of Peterhead. With Patrick Cregg and Michael Higdon returning, we effectively had the same midfield that struggled to break down Aberdeen a week ago. The other change saw Marc McAusland replace David van Zanten.

Action was at a premium at both ends. Chris Millar saw a shot tipped onto the bar by visiting keeper Paul Gallacher before he denied Collin Samuel, while Jim Goodwin messed up a header from Steven Thomson's corner at the other end.

Things didn't improve much in the second half. Thomson wasted a couple of chances, Gallacher saved a shot from Peter MacDonald and that's about it.

You have to question making so many changes to the team that won on Tuesday. You also have to wonder why we made just one sub and it was Craig Dargo, rather than McQuade or Mooy, that came on. And you have to wonder why it was only made with 10 minutes left.

None of it really makes sense and it's no surprise we failed to score again. No doubt it'll be a similar team when we face Dundee United on Wednesday.
