I was not at the game and haven't read any detailed reports yet, so will not rant about the manager at the present time. However, there will surely be more questions asked after this disaster of a result, with more fans seemingly joining the "Gus Must Go" bandwagon with every passing game.
Jack Ross missed out through injury, so you'd have thought we'd play Mo Camara and put David Barron to right-back. Er, no. We started with Lee Mair. Suppose it's not really a surprise considering we play four midfielders in the middle, so why not play centre halves in the fullback positions? Craig Dargo, Billy Mehmet and Michael Higdon all started, suggesting we finally tried Mehmet wide right. Steven Thomson also returned.
Dargo could have put us in front in the first half when one-on-one with Graeme Smith, but missed. Millar then put the Fakes in front with a fine shot from 25-yards, and they could have extended their lead.
As we were a goal down, you'd maybe expect our manager to make a few changes, but the BBC website shows the first came with 14 minutes to go - the remaining two happening in the last six minutes. What on earth is the point of that?
Unsurprisingly, the changes didn't work. The winless run is now at eight games and Falkirk's win means we are now just two points off bottom spot. Perhaps it's time for the board to act a little more quickly than their manager.
