We may only have lost by two goals, and they only may have come with 20 minutes left, but the indications are we could have lost by a lot, lot more. The Saintees hit the woodwork three times - coincidentally the same number of shots the BBC website claims we had. None on target.
With John McGinn suspended, Jim Goodwin came back into the side. Marian Kello failed a late fitness test so Christopher Dilo made his first appearance since we last played St Johnstone in October. Even more surprising was the appearance of Stephane Bahoken on the bench - confirming that Nice have indeed sent him back to us for the rest of the season.
Nigel Hasselbaink was among the players who hit the woodwork for the hosts before they finally took the lead 20 minutes from time, Murray Davidson heading in a corner. A few minutes later Stevie May scored to all but finish us off.
A quite disastrous display it seems as we struggled to impose ourselves on the game. Not good enough and we're now just two points above second bottom.
