it was a fairly strong Saints line-up, with the likes of Paul McGowan and John McGinn back. It could be argued it'll be fairly close to the side that will start against Inverness Caley Thistle next weekend, although we did have a few trialists playing - fullback Danny Grainger and Newcastle youngster Michael Richardson, who could be coming in on loan.
Reports vary from it being a game Saints dominated to an even affair, the sides being separated in the final 10 minutes when the ball broke for Harkins to score. That, combined with a clean sheet, should boost the confidence a bit - although this was a side from the sixth level of English football.
Our final pre-season friendly is on Tuesday night when we face Newcastle United.
