Name: Allan Johnston
Current Club: Queen of the South
Position: Midfield
Saints Career: A rather weird signing in the summer of 2009. Allan, who has played for Hearts, Rangers and Scotland, was offered a trial spell after a year without a game at Kilmarnock due to injury. He was then signed up, even though we didn't need another midfielder, and he barely featured due to being too old or hardly being fit. As my brother first said, he was the answer to a question that was never asked.
Post Saints Career: Allan left at the end of his contract and, after a short trial period, he was signed by Queen of the South. He took on some coaching responsibilites in 2011 following the arrival at Palmerston of former Saints management team Gus MacPherson and Andy Millen. He was one of the better performers that season as the club were relegated to the second division and when Gus and Andy were relegated he was handed his first shot at management.
