Name: Paul McKnight
Current Club: Soccer Innovation
Position: Forward
Saints Career: Paul joined Saints from Rangers in March 2000. He made an almost instant impact, scoring a vital late winner against Falkirk in his second game as we edged towards the title. Two weeks later he was at it again with a stoppage time strike against Ayr that sent us up - and at the time most people thought it had won us the first division! Sadly, that was as good as it got for him. The next two years he barely played due to injury and left in 2002. After a year with Linfield in Northern Ireland he came back, but more injuries saw him released towards the end of 2003.
Post Saints Career: Paul had a number of spells with clubs back in Northern Ireland after that, including Glenavon and Larne. However, more injury problems saw him retire and he now works for football coaching company Soccer Innovation, run by former Saint Ricky Gillies.
