Name: Stephen McGinn
Current Club: Watford
Position: Midfielder
Saints Career: Stephen came through the club's youth system and made his first team debut against Celtic at Parkhead in January 2007, scoring in a 5-1 defeat. His next goal came at the same place - where his grandfather Jack had been chairman - and almost gave us a win, before Celtic grabbed a point. Another goal followed against Hearts a few weeks later as he began to establish himself in the squad. After more impressive performances, he grabbed a sensational winner against Rangers at Love Street in October 2008. He became an established starter over the coming months, forcing his way into the Scotland under-21 squad. He started the 2009/10 season in sensational form, scoring four goals in the first month or so, and put in more good performances. However, his form seemed to dip at the same time he decided against renewing his contract.
Post Saints Career: With Stephen looking to leave, the club accepted a bid from English Championship side Watford in January 2010 worth around £100,000 and he quickly joined the Hornets. He was just starting to establish himself in the side towards the end of the year before suffering a serious injury that kept him out until the early part of 2012.
